Using Newspapers in Historial Research

Newspapers contain fascinating, and sometimes forgotten family history detail.  This talk looks at what type of information may be available, search techniques for locating it without wasting time, and ensuring that it does relate to a member of your family.  The presentaion also considers ways to interpret discoveries, hopefully helping the reader to understand something about the times in which their ancestor lived.

The meeting is free to members of Berkshire Family History Society and we request a donation of £5 from non-members.

Branch library available to members to borrow books.  Refreshments available.  Car park outside the hall.
