Pendon Museum
This visit to the Pendon Museum is organised by Abingdon Branch as part of the special events to celebrate the 50th birthday of Berkshire Family History Society. It is open to members and non-members alike.Â
Pendon Museum, located in Long Wittenham, near Didcot, is a museum that displays scale models. Its overall aim is to preserve the idyllic rural scene and transport of the 1920s and 30s in a miniature form for future generations to enjoy. Of particular interest, is a large scene representing parts of the Vale of White Horse in the 1920s and 1930s.
The visit includes a private guided tour of the museum. Light refreshments can be purchased at the museum’s café. There is also a small shop.
Bookings close three days before the event. The meeting point will be communicated shortly before the event by email.Â
