How it works

Register

You need to select a cause to support. The link below will take you straight to our cause page. Then create an account.

Install the donation reminder

This browser tool makes it really easy to remember to use the donations service. When you visit a participating brand’s site a pop-up reminder will appear. Use the ‘Click to get donation’ button and you’re ready to shop and donate.

On Mobile Devices

Go to the iPhone App Store or the Android Play Store and install the mobile app to donate while shopping online.

Easyfundraising is available for instore purchases too.

It’s early days so the number of brands is limited to Tesco and John Lewis, but more will be added.

Add a payment card to the app

This is even easier than online donate-while-you-shop.

Add a payment card to the mobile app. When you shop in a participating store and pay with that card, your donation will be automatically processed.

How will it affect you?

The cost to you is zero. The stores bear all the cost – they view it as an advertising and customer loyalty programme.

Your existing loyalty programmes – Sparks, Tesco Clubcard, Asda Rewards, Sainsbury Nectar etc – are unaffected.

Berkshire Family History Society works to meet the needs of those researching their ancestry across the UK and overseas – as well as those looking for former relatives in historic Berkshire. You do not need to be a member to benefit.
