Beginning Your Family History – Online Talk
This talk introduces the starting steps to take in discovering your family history, to help you get the most out of your research. It is designed to help those just starting out. And also, those a little more established who would like to make sure they have covered all the basics.
Tickets cost £5 (members £4). Pre-booking is required because full joining instructions will be emailed in advance. Bookings close one day before the event.
To join this talk, you will need a computer device from which you can access your emails and which has a microphone and speakers. Ideally, also a webcam. Since retiring, Peter has been looking for his ancestors over the last 20 years. Despite having been secretary to the Society Computer Branch for many years, he looks for original records wherever possible. He is also a member of the team recording Berkshire Memorial Inscriptions from local graveyards, taking photographs, transcribing them and creating a CD for publication.
