Posting

You can post messages to the Discussion List by emailing them to:

Subject: Include a clear indication of the content of the message and aim to ‘entice’ others to read the message. This is the primary information which appears in the on-line message archive.  ‘Help’ and ‘family history’ are bad subject lines.

Content: Keep messages SHORT and confine them to ONE subject only.

Case: Write your message in  sentence case but with surnames in CAPITALS - a common convention in genealogy. For the rest of the body of your message, do not use upper case. Not only is this is considered to be shouting, but it also makes your message more difficult to read.

Attachments: Do NOT include attachments.

Long Messages: These will be delayed while they are automatically sent to the Listowner for approval.
