SUMMARY:Beyond the Trenches: Britain and the Great War outside the Western Front
DESCRIPTION:The Great War is best remembered for the trenches of the Western Front, but soldiers from Britain and the British Empire also fought in places as far apart as China and Bulgaria.  This is an introduction to the land campaigns fought in Africa, the Middle East and Macedonia, and the roles of soldiers from outside Britain.\nRefreshments are available.  We have a branch library covering a wide range of family history topics from which members may borrow books.  There is also a car park outside the hall.\nPhotograph – British Army in the Sinai and Palestine Campaign 1915-1918 (catalogue no.
